PRE-CHRISTMAS 2012 IPDA,NUCS & POLI

19 October 2012 – Immaculate conception Church, Changlun.

It was such a wonderful event held by IPDA Christian Students with co-operation with Polytechnic Christian students. NUCS as the target audience of this event welcomed their willing to entertain NUCS due to UUM’s examination schedule that too packs on this coming Christmas day. For me, it was a blast day ever as IPDA comes with variety of activities upon Christmas. Their preparation was very well done and their spirit of Christmas fulfils the atmosphere. Started at 10.30am with the opening songs and praises, give all of us the feeling of the presence of Christ. Bible reading and sharing by NUCS that related to Christmas (Luke 2:1-20) give all people in that moment a reflection of how great is our God, how humble Christ was born and how sincere Mother Mary was. The games and activities that were done by IPDA, POLY and NUCS were full of joy that bring the happiness of welcoming our saviour, Jesus Christ. The foods that provided by IPDA was delicious and the cake was awesome (as my white T-shirt have a cake stain, haha). NUCS and IPDA featuring POLY also make a blast Christmas performance with Christmas songs. The activities last with the exchanging gifts.  – Bernardine Sebastian

26 May 2012 , NUCS farewell party , Kaamatan & Gawai day...  With the happiness and gathering of NUCS on this day The Farewell goes smoothly and full of joy. Far away from hometown does not mean that we cannot celebrate Kaamatan and Gawai for this blessed May.. Take place at Immaculate Conception Chapel of Changlun, the event went in the Hall and the Chapel area.. Along the Farewell party, Kaamatan &Gawai was celebrated as the symbol of unity of Sabah & Sarawak as 1 in NUCS, and of course 1 in Jesus.. Here are some photos on that day...  EVOLUTION NIGHT 2012

“Malam serasi bersama”

30 Mei 2012, NUCS telah turut serta dalam event yang dianjurkan CF UUM (BM Department, English Department, Chinese Department dan Tamil Department), bertempat di Gereja Full Gospel Church, Alor Setar. Event yang diadakan ini dinamakan ‘Evolution Night 2012’  yang mempunyai maksud tersirat, di mana ianya membawa maksud evolusi yang akan berlaku terhadap mereka yang akan menamatkan pengajian di UUM dan berevolusi kearah alam pekerjaan atau bidang yang akan mereka ceburi. Sebenarnya Event ini dituju khas untuk Senior semua CF UUM yang akan graduate pada semester ini. Senior-senior NUCS yang akan graduate secara langsung terlibat dengan event ini. Pelbagai acara menarik disajikan seperti tarian pembukaan, dan ucapan wakil2 senior dari setiap department. Tidak lupa juga praise and worship yang energetik dari Belia Full Gospel Church Alor Setar dan Senior-senior dari setiap Department. Di akhir event, setiap yang hadir diberi peluang untuk mengucapkan titipan akhir mereka terhadap senior-senior yang akan menamatkan pengajian, yang berbaris di hadapan. Saat ini memperlihatkan kesayuan dan titisan air mata yang bergelinangan pada setiap yang hadir. Saat tersebut sangat memilukan. Di sini disertakan sedikit gambar-gambar yang sempat digarap. J

We have such a great moment with IPDA on that day.. such a memorable time with them in the unity of christ..

The Blind Side

Do you remember about the blind spot that we learned in Science subject during secondary school? As far as we understood, it limits our sight. Yet, science teaches us how to overcome it as people got creative and innovative to invent side mirrors.

Well, this is life. As we undergo different phases in life, we are unaware that we often make wrong moves. Moves that somehow would lead to unintentional mistakes. Luckily enough, we have someone who is actually look out and help us to be prudent in our actions and repent for our mistakes in life; Jesus Christ.

But, what if those are not mistakes? That those are consequences from others' actions? And yet, how would you judge? Simply judging and underestimating other human being are not the solutions. Jesus Christ, who died for our sins, humbly let Himself being sacrificed. By that, He shows how much He cares for us.

We should care for one another. Family, friends, even strangers. Why? Because of God's unconditional love. Everyone deserves love.

By the way, The Blind Side, a movie that touches hearts of people, is a movie that will move you. It is worth to spend some time in front of your laptop to have a look on this movie. Hopefully you will gain something from it. For me, it helps me to perceive life as who I want to be in life. Enjoy watching, NUCS!
